AHT/Multipurpose Tug “ARAL” (ex. “Dutch Power”)
IMO 9313979, built in 2004 at Gebr. Kooiman BV Shipyard, had been operated in offshore construction activities in North Caspian by Atyrau Branch of Enka Insaat ve Sanayi A.S (ENKA) (owning fleet in Caspian Sea containing more than 20 different type vessels/barges www.enkamarine.com) was successfully delivered to Nassau Cruise port, Prince George Dock, The Bahamas for new construction project at the said port.
AHT/Multipurpose Tug “ARAL” and sister ship Tug “MERIC ” (ex. Dutch Pride) were ordered to Kooiman by ex. Owner, legendary captain Mr. Marinus Hubregtse specially for Caspian Sea Offshore Construction Projects and after 2 years charter period both ships were sold to the new Owner in 2006. The “Aral” was successfully operated by ENKA in Caspian Sea since the last 16 years. In the most severe COVID-19 conditions and restrictions, a very complicated delivery was completed by several phases. First stage – from Bautino Port, Kazakhstan to Azov Port, Russia (through Russian Inland waters). Second stage – from Port Azov, Russia to Haydarpasha Port, Istanbul. Third and the last stage – the “Aral” was loaded onto submersible vessel the “Super Servant 4” in Istanbul and safely delivered to Nassau Port, The Bahamas. Crew already arrived onboard and the ship will start operation after flag change surveys. We would like to express our best wishes to Captain Alper and the ship’s crew in their new project.
